Unbelievable, right? Curzon Soho, the beacon of independent, arthouse cinema was to be knocked down to build HS2. The Curzon tried to be polite in their objections, but the developers wouldn't listen. So, we got impolite, with a campaign recreating famous movie swearing scenes to show we wouldn't go down without a fight. The ‘Curse For Curzon’ campaign went viral overnight, and an online petition to save The Curzon Soho garnered over 50,000 signatures in the first day, forcing the government to take action. The Curzon Soho was saved. Fucking brilliant!
